Dynamic Flow Yoga : Yoga postures in a smooth flowing sequence harmonized with the breath. We work the entire body/mind through sun salutations, standing poses, forward bends, and back bends. This is an all levels class that moves at a moderate pace. Continuing Yoga: : An eclectic yoga practice for students with a year or more experience. This class links breath to movement in the classic asanas. It creatively includes sun salutations, inversions, the bandhas and core strengthening with pranayama. Gentle Yoga: Yoga practiced at a gentle pace that is accessible to everyone. This class includes restorative poses, balance poses, and slow gentle work for feet, hips, shoulders and core strength. There is no weight bearing on the arms in this class. Men's Yoga : It's Yoga, just for guys. This is a beginner's yoga class designed specifically for a man's body. The class works with a consistent asana (posture) series. The series is designed to develop confidence and ease in the body. The practice is light and loose, invigorating and focused, and connects breath with movement. Pilates : Using the Pilates method as a base we work toward increasing, health, strength and flexibility in your body's core: abdomen, pelvic floor and back. This class promotes body awareness through basic movement principles that require focused direction of energy and breath. Class is cued with options for beginning and intermediate level students. Prenatal Yoga : Will return late fall 2010. Restorative Yoga: Deep supported postures, self massage, pranayama (breathing exercises), yoga nidra (relaxation), and meditation. Delicious! This class is like signing up for a weekly massage, at a fraction of the cost. And you learn tools that bring you that relaxation anywhere in your life. Yoga & Pilates: Yoga meets Pilates meet Dance. We work the entire body/mind a mix of standing poses, core strength, forward bends and back bends with a great sound track to keep us moving. A great time and a great work out. Yoga Bliss!: As we deepen our experience of yoga, we are able to taste Anandamaya Kosha: the essence of bliss that is the core of our being. In this class we practice pranayama (breathing exercise), bandha (energy engagement), asana (posture), and dhyana (meditation) as a tool to deepen our experience of our divine nature. Options are given in the physical postures so that all levels may experience this deepening of self. Come taste your bliss! |
